Holocaust survivor/author to appear at Thomas Jefferson

Holocaust survivor and award-winning author Marion Blumenthal Lazan will visit Thomas Jefferson next week to share experiences from her childhood under Hitler’s rule, and a first-hand account of her family’s ordeal during the Holocaust.  Four Perfect Pebbles, the book she co-authored with Lila Perl, details her experiences during imprisonment in concentration camps and her liberation in April of 1945 as an 11-year-old.
 The presentation on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 6:30 p.m. is for adults, and is open to parents, grandparents, graduates, and alumni parents, and friends of the school.

 TJ Middle School students will meet with her on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at noon.
TJ Upper School students will meet with her on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 11:30 a.m.
 Copies of Four Perfect Pebbles will be available for purchase, and the author will sign copies after her presentation at TJ Wednesday evening. 
 Four Perfect Pebbles was a required reading book on the Middle and Upper School Summer Reading List this year, and students who would like to have their books signed should bring them to Mrs. McDonaldbefore the end of this week.
