Signing scheduled for book on Jasper County rural schools

Author Helen Hunter will be signing copies of her new book Echoes of School Bells, a history of Jasper County rural schools, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Always Buying Books.

The following description comes from the book's Amazon page:

Echoes of School Bells highlights the history of Jasper County (Mo.) schools. This in-depth book covers the period from the conception of Jasper County to about the early 1970s when most of the rural county schools closed. The book also shares stories from people who went to those rural schools.
