There being a quorum present, the meeting of the Crowder College Board of Trustees of the Community College District of Newton-McDonald Counties, Missouri, was called to order by Board Chair, Mr. Andy Wood, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2020, in the Crowder College Wright Conference Center.

One-lane traffic expected on Route CC between 86 and 60 west of Neosho
(From MODOT)Drivers can expect one-lane traffic when a project to resurface and make bridge improvements begins on Newton County Route CC the week of October 5, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Contractor crews will lay a new asphalt surface along an approximately 4.6-mile stretch of Route CC between Missouri Route 86 and U.S. Route 60 west of Neosho.
In addition, new guardrail will be added at the ends of the culvert over Lost Creek.
Traffic Impacts:
-Traffic reduced to one lane where contractor crews are laying asphalt
-Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
This is last part of a larger project that includes resurfacing Jasper County Routes H, M and MM.

Joplin woman, Webb City man injured in accident near Sarcoxie
A Joplin woman and a Webb City man were injured in a one-vehicle accident 1 a.m. today on County Road 40, one mile north of Sarcoxie.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Ford Focus driven by Melanee D. Day, 21, Joplin, went off the roadway, struck a bridge rail and overturned.

Resurfacing projects begin next week in Dade, Polk counties
(From MODOT)Drivers can expect one-lane traffic during daytime hours and occasional traffic delays when a project to resurface three state routes in Dade and Polk counties starts the week of October 5, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Drivers can expect flaggers and pilot cars directing them through the work zones. Crews and equipment will be working close to traffic and drivers are urged to use caution while traveling through the work zones.
All routes will receive a new asphalt driving surface and new pavement striping.
Here is a tentative look at the projects beginning the week of Oct. 5:
Dade County Route H – from U.S. Route 160 near Greenfield traveling north approximately nine miles to Dade County Route Y east of Arcola
Missouri Route 215 – from Dade County Route Y east of Arcola traveling east approximately 9.7 miles to Missouri Route 123 in Polk County southwest of Aldrich
Missouri Route 123 – from Polk County Route W at Eudora traveling north approximately 12 miles to Missouri Route 32 at Fair Play
Traffic Impacts
-Traffic reduced to one lane where contractor crews are laying asphalt
Drivers are urged to use caution as they may experience a rough ride in areas until the resurfacing project is complete.
Weather and/or scheduling delays will alter the work schedule.

Anderson PD traffic stop leads to arrest, confiscation of meth, defaced handgun
Sarcoxie woman injured in motorcycle accident
A Sarcoxie woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident 7:40 p.m. Saturday on Newton Road, two miles west of Sarcoxie.
According to the Highway Patrol report, Bethany L. Keeling, 28, Sarcoxie, driving a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle, while avoiding another vehicle, slid into the eastbound lane and was ejected from the motorcycle.
Pineville woman cited for DWI after injuring teen in head-on collision near Jane
A Pineville woman was cited for driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle collision 8:25 p.m. Saturday on Bear Hollow Road, a half mile east of Jane.
Walker was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Bella Vista, Arkansas.
In addition to DWI, Bowen was cited for careless and imprudent driving.

On 9/23/20, Officer Thiel made a traffic stop at Washington/Mineral for a moving violation. The passenger, Brandon Getz had a warrant out of Jasper County for: Possession of Controlled Substance. Getz was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.
