Neosho man cited for DWI, seriously injured in rollover crash

A Neosho man was cited for driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 8:05 p.m. Friday on U. S. 60 at Finch Drive, five miles east of Seneca.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Caleb C. Thurston, 21, Neosho, traveled off the left side of the road at a high rate of speed and overturned several times.

Thurston, who was also cited for careless and imprudent driving, was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Joplin.

 

Carthage woman injured in two-vehicle collision

A Carthage woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident 4:24 p.m. Saturday on County Road 130, two miles north of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Jeep Renegade driven by Kelli M. Kyte, 25, Carthage, failed to obey a stop sign and struck a 2012 Honda Civic driven by a 17-year-old Carthage girl. Both vehicles left the roadway and went through a fence.

Kyte was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Carthage.
