Missing Joplin woman found dead in her home

On January 22, 5:53 PM, the Joplin Police Department received the report of a missing person.

Tonya L. Crawford, 38, Joplin was reported missing by friends and family. Crawford was entered into NCIC as a missing person.

On January 23, at 2:33 PM, Crawford was located deceased at her residence at 310 W. 14th .

The Joplin Police Department is conducting a death investigation. The scene is still being held. An autopsy was scheduled today at 1:00.
