Investigation into Baxter Springs burglary. leads to arrest, drug confiscation, recovery of stolen items

On January 4, 2020 one of our Patrol Officers took a report from Warner Diversified Management, "The Storage Shed" of multiple storage units having been broken into, throughout the night time hours.

The officer, while taking this report, was provided information about a vehicle and possible suspect.

The Patrol Officer located the suspect vehicle as it left an address inside the city. The Patrol Officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the same suspect the officer had been shown in the videos from The Storage Shed.

The suspect was then questioned by the Investigations Officer. During the investigation, items that had been previously reported stolen from the storage sheds was located as well as controlled substances and paraphernalia. The suspect was then taken into custody and transported to the Cherokee County Jail.
