Weather hazards expected... Limited hail risk. Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk. Limited flooding risk. Limited lightning risk. Limited non thunderstorm wind risk. DISCUSSION... Showers and thunderstorms will continue to move across the area this evening. For most of the area cloud ground lightning strikes will be the main risk from the storms. A line of storms will move east across far southern Missouri through the late evening hours. Gusty winds up to 50 mph and small hail will be possible with these storms. The heaviest rain will occur over southeast Kansas into southwest Missouri and there may be some localized flooding that occurs tonight. Wind gusts up to 40 mph will continue to be possible through this evening into the overnight hours. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Additional thunderstorm chances will occur Thursday night into Friday and then again late in the weekend. Locally heavy rainfall may lead to a localized flooding risk across the area on Friday.
