(From Joplin Little Theatre)Auditions for Man of La Mancha, written by Dale Wasserman, music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion, will be held Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 7 and 8, 7 p.m., at the Joplin Little Theatre, 3009 West First Street, in Joplin.
The production will be co-directed by Gary Roney and Shannon Wendt. The directors are looking for a cast of 20 men and nine women of various ages.

Set in the contest of the Spanish Inquisition, it is presented as a play-within-a-play about a dying old man who refuses to relinquish his ideals. “The Impossible Dream” is included in the score.
Performance dates will be Wednesday, March 23 through Saturday, March 26, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 27, 2:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $18 for adults; $15 for senior citizen/student and $8 for children 12 and under.
