A Carthage man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 6:50 p.m. Monday on Route E, three-tenths of a mile west of Jasco Drive.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2014 Yamaha FZ09 driven by Zachary D. Garrison, 20, Carthage, swerved to avoid a deer, traveled off the right side of the roadway, became airborne and Garrison was ejected.
Garrison was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
