(From the McDonald County Sheriff's Office)Last week MCSO Detectives received information of a subject living just outside the city of Anderson with outstanding full extradition warrants out of the state of Texas for Probation Violation for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, as well as a warrant out of the state of Oklahoma for Possession of Marijuana and Obstruction.
After further investigation, Detectives learned the subject was also in possession of several firearms and had previous ties to the Aryan Brotherhood.
This morning around 0700am the McDonald County Special Response Team along with other patrol deputies, executed a search warrant at that location and took Matthew S. Convirs, 45, (top photo) into custody after a brief foot chase.
MCSO SRT also located a second white male, Joshua Carr, 27, as well as a juvenile male at the location. Both were taken into custody without incident.
After the property was secure, MCSO Detectives searched the property and located several firearms, and a large amount of ammunition. One of the weapons, a single shot 410 shot gun, had been cut down to a barrel length of just under 13 inches.
Due to Convirs’s extensive criminal history, all weapons and ammunition were seized with State and possibly Federal charges pending. Both Convirs and Carr were transported to the McDonald County Detention Center for outstanding warrants, the juvenile was taken into care by the Missouri Division of Family Services.
