Two people were killed in a two-vehicle collision 10:35 p.m. Tuesday on I-44, three miles east of Fidelity.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Andrew J. Wilson, 91, Neosho, was traveling eastbound in a westbound lane and struck a 2010 Chevrolet HHR driven by Janet S. Edwards, 58, Sarcoxie head on.
Jasper County Coroner Rob Chappel pronounced Wilson and Edwards dead at the scene.
The fatalities were the 112th and 113th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
