TRAFFIC ALERT: Route 37 CLOSED at Locations in Newton & Lawrence Counties Nov. 29-Dec. 7

Where: Missouri Route 37 at four locations between Wentworth and Pierce City
Route 37 at Lawrence County Road 2225 near Pierce City
Route 37 near Lawrence County Road 1020 west of Pierce City

Route 37 north of Lawrence County Route VV east of Wentworth

Route 37 at Newton County Route J (W. Chestnut Street) in Wentworth

When: 7 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday, November 29 through Tuesday, December 7

What: MoDOT crews replacing pipes underneath the road

Traffic Impacts

All lanes of Route 37 CLOSED during daytime hours only where crews are working

All lanes of Route 37 OPEN during nighttime hours

No work is planned on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Dec. 3-5

Drivers will be able to access driveways and entrances on either side of the work zones, but will not be able to travel through the work zones

Drivers urged to find alternate routes

No signed detour planned

Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
