More details released about dead child in Carthage backyard

The investigation into the body discovered in the backyard of a residence continues. 

Preliminary autopsy results have indicated that the body discovered was a male child approximately 20 weeks in utero and was prematurely delivered.

Our investigation team continues this investigation and we will send updates when available.

On 8/22/20 just after 4:00 we received a call from the 1100 blk of Walnut in reference to a dead body. Upon arrival the Officers located a deceased infant in the back yard of a residence.
