Nine-year-old Diamond boy falls off moving car, gets struck by tire

A Diamond boy was injured in a car-pedestrian accident 7:30 p.m. Thursday on Parma Lane, three miles north of Diamond.

According to the Highway Patrol report, the nine-year-old boy fell off a moving 2001 GMC Yukon driven by Ian S. Moore, 41, Diamond, and was struck by a tire.

The boy was taken by private automobile to Mercy-McCune Brooks Hospital, Carthage, then by ambulance to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, to be treated for moderate injuries.
