TRAFFIC ALERT: Eastbound I-44 Reduced to One Lane for Bridge Deck Repair Feb. 14-16 in Newton Co.
Where: Eastbound I-44 at Mile Marker 0.2 near Exit 1 in Newton County
When: 6 p.m.-6 a.m., Friday-Sunday, February 14-16
What: Contractor crews repairing bridge deck/driving surface
Traffic Impacts:
Eastbound I-44 reduced to one lane where crews are working during nighttime hours
Traffic shifted into passing (left) lane
All I-44 lanes OPEN to traffic during daytime hours
No signed detours
Drivers urged to find alternate routes
Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
