Galena Police Officers received a call this evening of a civilian who was following a suspect that tried breaking into their residence. Galena officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop it at 7th and Short Street however the suspect fled.
A pursuit was initiated and the suspect vehicle crashed out at 90th and Plum Road in the county in a field. The suspect fled on foot and was arrested.
The suspect was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for medical clearance. The suspect will be facing several charges including felony stealing and Fleeing.
