Four people were killed and six injured in a two-vehicle collision 8 p.m. Friday on U. S. 54, two miles south of Walker.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2025 Toyota Corolla driven by a 49-year-old Camdenton man failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a 2015 GMC Terrain driven by a 38-year-old Osceola man.
The Toyota Corolla went off the roadway and struck a fence and a tree.
Vernon County Coroner David Ferry pronounced four people dead at the scene.

19-year-old Climax Springs woman- passenger
21-year-old Camdenton woman- passenger
The Climax Springs School District Facebook page identified the three victims from the Corolla as recent graduates of the school district, two of them district employees, and said they were returning from an away basketball game.
The victims were identified as Ava Wolfe, Jayden Butterfield, and Violet Corado.
The driver of the Corolla, a 49-year-old Camdenton man, was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin. A passenger, a 38-year-old Camdenton woman was flown to Cox South Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries.
A passenger in the Terrain, a 39-year-old Osceola woman, was flown to Mercy Hospital, Springfield with serious injuries. Three other passengers, two 16-year-old Osceola girls were treated for minor injuries and an 18-year-old girl for moderate injuries at Nevada Regional Medical Center.
The fatalities were the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
