Joplin City Council meeting, hearing on Joe Becker Stadium rescheduled for Tuesday

Due to severe weather conditions, the Joplin City Council Meeting set for tonight Monday, January 6, has been postponed until tomorrow Tuesday, January 7. The agenda will remain the same and includes a Public Hearing on the proposed renovation of Joe Becker stadium. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. and is held in the Council Chambers located on the fifth floor of City Hall, 602 South Main.
In addition, the swearing in ceremony for five police officers scheduled for 5 p.m. today has been moved to the January 21 Council Meeting. It will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21 in Council Chambers. (This meeting is being held on Tuesday due to the Martin Luther King holiday on Monday, January 20.)
The Joplin Tornado First Response Board will not meet today at 1:30 p.m., as previously scheduled. A new date for this meeting will be announced later this week.
