One-lane traffic expected on Route CC between 86 and 60 west of Neosho

(From MODOT)

Drivers can expect one-lane traffic when a project to resurface and make bridge improvements begins on Newton County Route CC the week of October 5, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Contractor crews will lay a new asphalt surface along an approximately 4.6-mile stretch of Route CC between Missouri Route 86 and U.S. Route 60 west of Neosho.

In addition, new guardrail will be added at the ends of the culvert over Lost Creek.

Traffic Impacts:

-Traffic reduced to one lane where contractor crews are laying asphalt

-Drivers will encounter pilot cars where crews are working. Drivers should wait for the pilot vehicle before proceeding through the work zone or before entering the work zone from a side road.

-Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.

This is last part of a larger project that includes resurfacing Jasper County Routes H, M and MM.

Project Information

Prime contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons, Columbia
Total project cost: $2.2 million
Completion date: November 1, 2020

Resurfacing projects begin next week in Dade, Polk counties

(From MODOT)

Drivers can expect one-lane traffic during daytime hours and occasional traffic delays when a project to resurface three state routes in Dade and Polk counties starts the week of October 5, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Drivers can expect flaggers and pilot cars directing them through the work zones. Crews and equipment will be working close to traffic and drivers are urged to use caution while traveling through the work zones.

All routes will receive a new asphalt driving surface and new pavement striping.

Here is a tentative look at the projects beginning the week of Oct. 5:

Dade County Route H – from U.S. Route 160 near Greenfield traveling north approximately nine miles to Dade County Route Y east of Arcola

Missouri Route 215 – from Dade County Route Y east of Arcola traveling east approximately 9.7 miles to Missouri Route 123 in Polk County southwest of Aldrich

Missouri Route 123 – from Polk County Route W at Eudora traveling north approximately 12 miles to Missouri Route 32 at Fair Play

Traffic Impacts

-Traffic reduced to one lane where contractor crews are laying asphalt

-Drivers will encounter flaggers and pilot cars where crews are working. Drivers should wait for the pilot vehicle before proceeding through the work zone or before entering the work zone from a side road.

Drivers are urged to use caution as they may experience a rough ride in areas until the resurfacing project is complete.

Weather and/or scheduling delays will alter the work schedule.
