Southern jazz combos to perform Nov. 14

The Southern Jazz Combos from MSSU will perform on Thursday, Nov. 14 in Corley Auditorium in Webster Hall on the campus of Missouri Southern State University. 
The concert begins at 7:30 pm.  and will feature three student combos performing a variety of selections from the jazz idiom including:  How High The Moon, Bag’s Groove, Autumn Leaves, Summertime, All of Me, and Watermelon Man.  
 Vocalists Devri Brock, senior Theatre major from Carl Junction, and Brooke Henry, freshman Music major from Neosho, will sing Misty, Here’s That Rainy Day, Black Orpheus and other jazz standards.
 The concert, under the direction of Dr. Phillip C. Wise, Director of Jazz Studies, is free and open to the public.
