Joplin senior Adelle Kanan has been named a Commended Student in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship program. She is one of 34,000 students across the nation to be recognized for exceptional academic promise.
Although they do not continue in the 2014 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students place among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2014 competition.
