Joplin Fire Department to resume issuing burn permits

As we prepare to get back to some sense of normalcy, I would like to thank the citizens of Joplin for their patience during this pandemic.

Beginning today May 4 we will begin issuing burn permits at Station 1 at 303 E. 3rd (check or money order only) or City Hall at 602 S. Main (cash, check, or money order). 

All other stations remained closed to the public at this time while we slowly phase in a complete re-opening.

Due to storms, we are not allowing burning today so you will have to wait one more day at least. 

The outpouring of support for the men and women of the department has definitely been more than what we expected. Thank you so much from the men and women of the Joplin Fire Department.
