This week’s Officer Spotlight is K9 Officer Bobby Brown and K9 Pax.
Officer Brown has served with JPD since 2011. Before joining JPD, Officer Brown served 10 years with the Neosho Police Department. Officer Brown is currently assigned to the K9 Unit and partnered with K9 Pax.
Since joining JPD Officer Brown has served as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, SWAT Officer, and K9 Officer.
When asked what he wanted the community to know about his job Officer Brown stated “The job of K9 handler is a very fast paced, demanding job that is both challenging and rewarding. As a K9 handler, we participate in continuous training on a weekly basis and certify as a K9 Team on a yearly basis. We train for any situation that may arise so that we can better serve and protect the community. Pax and I are always eager to come to work and interact with citizens and the officers we work with.”
In his off-time, Officer Brown and K9 Pax enjoy spending time with his family, youth sports with his children, and lake boating with friends and family.
