Wyandotte woman injured in car-deer collision near Neosho

A Wyandotte, Oklahoma woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident 10:20 p.m. Saturday on I-49, one mile west of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2020 Ford Explorer driven by James P. Gatewood, 79, Wyandotte, Oklahoma, struck a deer in the roadway.

A passenger in the Gatewood vehicle, Marilyn D. Gatewood, 78, Wyandotte, was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
