Seneca Police Department makes arrests on drug charges, warrants

On 5/3/20, Officer Zimmerman made a traffic stop at Washington/St. Louise for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for DWR and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 5/2/20, Officer Thiel made contact with a suspicious person at Cherokee/Wyandotte. The male subject was Andrew Truster. Truster had a warrant out of Joplin for Petit Theft. Truster was arrested and transported to Joplin.

On 4/28/20, Officer Fort made a traffic stop at Dollar General for an equipment violation. The passenger, Amber Parsons had a warrant out of Neosho for: FTA on Larceny. Parsons was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 4/27/20, Officer Zimmerman made a traffic stop on Delaware for a moving violation. The driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and given a court date.

On 4/26/20, Officer Zimmerman made a traffic stop near the roundabout for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested and cited for DWR, No Insurance, and Failure to Register Motor Vehicle.

The passenger was arrested and cited for: Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both subjects were transported to Newton County Jail.

On 4/25/20, Officer Kirby made a traffic stop on Cherokee for an equipment violation. The driver was cited for DWS and No Insurance and was given a court date.

On 4/24/20, Officer Fort made a traffic stop near Hwy 43/Hwy U for an equipment violation. The driver was cited for DWR and No Insurance and was given a court date.

On 4/23/20, Officer Thiel made a traffic stop at K Hwy for a moving violation. The backseat passenger, Gabriel Martin had a warrant out of Newton County for: Failure to Register Motor Vehicle. Martin was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 4/23/20, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Cherokee/Wyandotte. The driver was cited for DWS and given a court date.

On 4/20/20, Officer Thiel was dispatched to Maple and Canal in reference to kids walking on the railroad tracks. Officer Thiel made contact with the subjects. One male subject was given a citation for Possession of Marijuana and given a ride home. The other subject was released to walk home.

On 3/20/20, Officer Thiel made a traffic stop at Hwy U/Bethel for an equipment violation. The passenger, Melanie Blackburn had an outstanding warrant out of Joplin for Larceny. Blackburn was arrested and transported to Joplin where a Joplin Officer took custody.
