(From the Carthage R-9 School District)The Carthage R-9 School District announces the hiring of Gage Tiller as the next Director of Carthage Technical Center. He will replace Dr. Holley Goodnight who was recently hired as the next Assistant Superintendent for Business.
Mr. Tiller is our current assistant director at Carthage Technical Center (CTC). Before assuming the role of CTC assistant director in 2019, he was a business teacher and assistant football coach at Carthage High School.
“Now more than ever, career and technical education is needed within our society. The community and business support for Carthage Technical Center is unparalleled,” says Tiller. “As a CHS and CTC alum, this position is a dream come true. CTC has always been highly regarded not only in our community but across the state of Missouri; it’s an absolute honor to have the opportunity to lead our amazing staff. I can’t wait to work with our staff and industry partners to continue leading CTC to new heights,” adds Tiller.
Mr. Tiller graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Education, from Arkansas State University with a Master of Science in Education, and from Southwest Baptist University with a Specialist in Educational Administration. He is nearing completion of an Educational Doctorate in Leadership at Southwest Baptist University.
District Superintendent Dr. Mark Baker says, “Gage is an exceptional person and leader. I am excited to work more directly with him in his new leadership role.”
