Three arrested after Baxter Springs officers not fooled by man shouting, "We're not stealing"

On March 17, 2024 Baxter Springs Officers were dispatched to the area of 1000 W 5th Street for reports of a suspicious vehicle.

 
After officers arrived and started their investigation one of the three individuals one stated "We're not stealing" and after continued investigation all three were placed under arrest for a variety of charges.

 
Charges that were filed included:
Theft of property / services Felony
Criminal damage to property Felony
Interference with LEO
Criminal Trespassing
Possession Drug Paraphernalia &
Possession of Methamphetamines

Every person accused of a crime is presumed to be innocent is presumed innocent until they are proven guilty.
