Retired Highway Patrol trooper named Lamar police chief

The City of Lamar is pleased to announce the appointment of Shannon Crouch as the new chief of police.

Chief Crouch officially begins his tenure today, February 10, 2025, following his appointment by the City Council on Friday, February 7, 2025.

Chief Crouch brings with him an impressive 32 years of law enforcement experience, having retired as a sergeant from the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2024. His extensive background and dedication to public safety make him an invaluable addition to our community.
