Woman, child injured in ATV-trampoline accident

A woman and a child were injured in an ATV-trampoline accident 7:30 p.m. today on private property at 11097 E. Stockade Road, one mile north of Moundville.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a Blue Kawasaki ATV driven by Teresa M. Hallam, 43, Moundville, struck a trampoline in the yard and overturned, ejecting Hallam and a passenger, Christiana E. Revilla-Wagner, 9, Nevada.

Hallam was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, while Revilla-Wagner was treated at Nevada Regional Medical Center, also for moderate injuries.

Colorado man cited for DWI ,drug charges following accident near Carthage

The Highway Patrol charged a Wheat Ridge, Colorado, man with driving while intoxicated, following a one-car accident 3:55 p.m. today two miles east of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1997 Toyota 4 Runner, driven by Ben F. Truan, 35, swerved off the right side of the road to avoid stopped traffic, traveled off the road into a ditch and overturned.

Truan was taken to Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage, with minor injuries.

In addition tot DWI, Truan was charged with failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, possession of up to 35 grams or marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

The Missouri Highway Patrol arrested the following people for driving while intoxicated:

Johana Parra-Martinez, 22, Branson

Carthage woman, infant injured in one-car accident

A Carthage woman and her infant daughter were injured in a one-car accident 2:51 p.m. today on MO 171, one mile north of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1998 Buick Regal driven by Sharon K. Hodges, 32, Carthage, ran off the left side of the roadway, returned to the roadway, ran off the right side of the roadway, overturned and struck several trees.

Hodges and her daughter, Nikki Hodges, 2, suffered minor injuries and were treated at Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage.

Driver in Neosho accident charged with DWI

A Neosho man who was involved in a one-car accident at 4:15 p.m. today on Muiberry, two miles west of Neosho, has been charged with driving whlie intoxicated.

The Highway Patrol also cited Derrek R. Swoboda, 26, for driving while revoked, careless and imprudent driving, and for not wearing a seat belt.

The Patrol's report indicates that Swoboda drove a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix Swoboda was driving left the road, hit a utility pole, overturned and struck a fence. Swoboda and a passenger, Brad L. Loomer, 24, were taken to Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, with moderate injuries.

Neosho man injured in deer-motorcycle accident

A Neosho man was injured in a deer-motorcycle accident 6:15 a.m. today on Goldfinch seven miles west of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Honda Sabre motorcycle driven by Michael N. Hobbs, 29, Neosho, traveling northbound hit a deer.

Hobbs was treated at Freeman Neosho for moderate injuries.
