Colorado man cited for DWI ,drug charges following accident near Carthage

The Highway Patrol charged a Wheat Ridge, Colorado, man with driving while intoxicated, following a one-car accident 3:55 p.m. today two miles east of Carthage.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1997 Toyota 4 Runner, driven by Ben F. Truan, 35, swerved off the right side of the road to avoid stopped traffic, traveled off the road into a ditch and overturned.

Truan was taken to Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage, with minor injuries.

In addition tot DWI, Truan was charged with failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, possession of up to 35 grams or marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

  1. All charges were dropped. Are you going to blog about that? Or the horrible conditions in jail including when they denied me my meds I must take for a disabling condition which initiated terrible side-effects from withdrawal also??..

    While you print anything to get attention and fool yourself into thinking you're doing something meaningful, yet assisting in the smudging of one's name, also do the work of finding out the outcome of the story and printing that as well or retracting the blog itself.
