TRAFFIC ALERT: Route K/Honey Creek Bridge CLOSED in Lawrence Co.
When: As of 8 a.m., Wednesday, September 9
Where: Lawrence County Route K bridge over Honey Creek southeast of Mt. Vernon
What: MoDOT closed the bridge due to deterioration observed during routine inspection. It will remain closed until it is replaced at a future date to be determined.
Traffic Impacts
All lanes of Route K CLOSED over the Honey Creek
Drivers will have access to driveways and entrances at either end of the bridge but will not be able to drive across the bridge
Drivers are urged to use Lawrence County Route FF and Missouri Route 39 to avoid the closure
Signs will alert drivers approaching the bridge
No signed detours, drivers urged to find alternate routes
Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
