Pipe replacement scheduled on three Newton County routes

TRAFFIC ALERT: Pipe Replacement on Three Newton Co. Routes Week of Sept. 28

When/Where:7 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday, September 28 – Route A between Route O and Mill Street in Stella
7 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday, September 29 – Route D between Skylark and Route A west of Stella
7 a.m.-5 p.m., Wednesday & Thursday, September 30 & October 1 – Route P between Eland Road and Goldfinch Road south of Joplin

What: MoDOT crews replacing damaged pipes underneath the above highways

Traffic Impacts

All lanes of routes CLOSED where crews are working

All lanes of Route P OPEN during nighttime hours

Drivers will have access to driveways and entrances at either end of the work zones but will not be able to travel through the work zones

No signed detours

Drivers urged to find alternate routes

Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone

Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
