Carthage woman treated for serious injuries following accident on 171
A Carthage woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident 5:30 a.m. today on Highway 171 one mile west of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2000 Ford Explorer driven by Shasta A. Hatton, 37, Carthage, went off the roadway and overturned. Hatton was ejected from the vehicle.
Hatton was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.

Noel man arrested for DWI following injury accident
A Noel man was charged with driving while intoxicated, following a one-vehicle accident 8:30 a.m. today on Hilltop Road, three miles west of Noel.
According to the Highway Patrol, a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Sablan I. Solomon, 44, Noel, lost control on a curve, ran off the roadway and struck an embankment.
Solomon refused treatment for minor injuries and was taken to the McDonald County Jail. He was also charged with failure to drive on the right half of the roadway

Sarcoxie man injured in UTV accident
A Sarcoxie man was injured in a one-vehicle accident 2:30 p.m. today on private property off of Blackberry Road, four miles west of Sarcoxie.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Polaris UTV driven by Lonny A. Brown, 49, Sarcoxie, going eastbound in a pasture, tried to make a left turn, overturned, and ejected the passenger.
Brown was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.

Dankelson, Flanigan, Jasper County officials sworn into office
Jasper County officials were sworn into office and a reception held for retiring Division II Judge David Dally and Eastern District Commissioner Jim Honey last week.
Among those sworn in were Honey's replacement, former Rep. Tom Flanigan, and Dally's replacement, former Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney Dean Dankelson.
