No testing of emergency siren today due to cold

The Office of Emergency Management did not sound the sires today due to the extreme cold. This was an effort to preserve the batteries in each unit. Sirens are normally tested the first Monday of each month, weather permitting. Obviously this was a situation in which the weather did not permit the test. The next regularly scheduled test will be Monday, 03 February, 2014.
