(From George Washington Carver National Monument)
The staff of George Washington Carver National Monument invites preschool families to Preschool Story Hour on Tuesday, March 19th 10:00 a.m.
This free, family friendly program is in collaboration with Seneca Parents at Teachers (PAT).
Learn more about George Washington Carver's curiosity and nature's creation at this FREE hour-long program where we will be reading a story about George Washington Carver's love of plants, followed by taking a short nature walk with a ranger and ending with a craft.
After the program, preschoolers and their families are encouraged to explore the discovery area located inside the visitor center with interactive exhibits such as microscopes, animal exhibits, a one room school classroom, and more.
Additionally, visitors may choose to take a walk on the 3/4-mile nature trail, watch the park film, or picnic. Parents as Teachers is a Missouri based program that works to promote the optimal early development, learning and health of children by supporting and engaging their parents and caregivers.
