Plans to Replace the Route H/Goodin Hollow Creek Bridge Focus of Virtual Public Meeting

The public is invited to a virtual (online) public meeting starting Sunday, February 15, to learn more about plans to replace the McDonald County Route H bridge over Goodin Hollow Creek near Pineville, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The meeting will be available from Sunday, February 15 through Saturday, February 28, and can be accessed at the project page here.

The bridge is located on Route H over Goodin Hollow Creek between I-49 and Business 71.

Beginning this summer, contractors will demolish the bridge and replace it with a new bridge that is 10 feet longer and four (4) feet wider than the current one. In addition, contractor crews will add object markers at either end of the bridge and new pavement striping.

During this work, the bridge will be CLOSED for up to five (5) months. Drivers will be directed along a signed detour using I-49, McDonald County Route EE and Business 71.

The Route H bridge was built in 1963 with approximately 1,360 vehicles a day crossing it. The bridge is in a deteriorating condition in need of frequent maintenance.
