According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2003 Buick Park Avenue driven by a 39-year-old Anderson man going too fast for conditions, crossed the center line and struck a 2026 Ram 2500 driven by a 54-year-old Anderson man.
The 39-year-old was pronounced dead at 12:24 p.m.
The fatality was the 120th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
