Joplin man killed in crash on 66


A Joplin man died from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle accident 6:35 p.m. Sunday on MO 66 one mile west of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 Custom driven by a 24-year-old Joplin man struck a 2017 Lexus RX350 driven by a 25-year-old Overland Park, Kansas woman.







The Joplin man was ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at 12:46 a.m. Monday at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.

The fatality was the seventh is year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
