Newsmakers to focus on Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce

Joplin, MO (SNS) – The upcoming edition of the “Newsmakers” interview program on KGCS-TV takes a look at economic development in the Joplin area, with an interview featuring Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce President Rob O’Brian.  
During the program, he discusses post-tornado recovery and other business growth in Joplin. O’Brian also discusses local employment, with the unemployment rate locally below that of the state and national levels.
The program will air at the following times on KGCS-TV:
Monday, Feb. 24 – 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 25 – 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 26 – 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 26 – 5:30 p.m.
The program will also air at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, on KOAM-TV.
KGCS programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 and on regional cable television systems including Cable One, Mediacom and Suddenlink.  The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.

  1. I'guess Mr O'brien wasn't at the job fair 2 weeks ago employment around here sucks some of these dummys need to come to reality around here, the reason unemployment is so low is 2/3 have quit looking. How do they figure the unemployment rate when your not drawing unemploment hmmmm
