Comedian Michael Malone to be host for 2014 MOSO Talent Show

(From Southern News Service)

Comedian Michael Malone has been named as the host of the 2014 MOSO Talent Show, scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, in Taylor Performing Arts Center.

Malone, who was pegged as 2013’s “Hot Comic to Watch” by Campus Activities magazine, is known for his “rubber face” and versatile material. Malone’s guest appearances include the Bob and Tom radio show, WGN-TV, National Lampoon’s Operation Comedy Tour, NBC, Sirius XM Satellite Radio and The CW.

“We’ve had a variety of hosts over the past several years and this year when the opportunity to bring in Michael presented itself, we felt that we had to pounce,” said Landon Adams, director of student activities. “We think that his versatility and sense of humor will make him the perfect fit to host this awesome event.”
The show, which will last approximately two hours, is free and open to the public. Details will follow regarding the featured student acts.

The MOSO Talent Show is presented by the Campus Activities Board, which is comprised of volunteer students who work throughout the school year with the Student Activities Office. CAB not only makes recommendations for what events to host on campus, but also helps to facilitate and advertise those events.
Accommodations related to a disability should be made to Landon Adams in Student Activities Office at 417-625-9669 at least 72 hours prior to the events. Any additional questions regarding this event should also be directed to the MSSU Student Activities Office.
