Southern Theatre to present "The Drowsy Chaperone"

(From Southern News Service)

Southern Theatre will stage a production of the musical “The Drowsy Chaperone” at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, through Saturday, March 8, in Taylor Performing Arts Center on the campus of Missouri Southern State University.
Featuring music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison and book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, “The Drowsy Chaperone” boldly addresses a great unspoken desire in all of our hearts: to be entertained. It all begins when a die-hard musical-theater fan plays his favorite cast album on his turntable, and the musical literally bursts to life in his living room. The musical tells the rambunctious tale of a brazen Broadway starlet trying to find, and keep, her true love.
The production is directed by Ann G. Lile.
Admission is $2 for Missouri Southern Students, $3 for faculty and staff, $5 for adults and $4 for seniors and non-MSSU students. Box office hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. For reservations, call 417-625-3190 or purchase tickets online at http://www.mssu.edu/ticket-office.
For requests for accommodations related to a disability, contact Terri Spencer at 417-625-9393 at least 72 hours before the performance.
