Jim Siedlecki signs off at Omaha, works with Malorie Maddox one last time

Former KODE anchor Jim Siedlecki, who has been at WOWT in Omaha since 2005, is leaving the station to take a job in Denver.

“Hard to believe it’s really over. It was an amazing crew to be a part of in America’s Best Kept Secret, Omaha,” Siedlecki wrote on Facebook last week. “…It was a great ride.”
Siedlecki said he is “heading to Denver for a great opportunity,” which the Omaha World-Herald reports is a government job as a media relations director.
Siedlecki, who spent time working at both KODE and KSN, anchored the evening news with Malorie Maddox for some time before both left for positions at WOWT, where Ms. Maddox is  anchoring the evening news.
Siedlecki has been the anchor of WOWT's Daybreak program since he arrived more than eight years ago and for a time worked with Ms. Maddox. The two co-anchored one last time during the Jan. 27 Daybreak program.
