Two Carthage residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident 1:40 p.m. today on I-49, one mile east of Anderson.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Sadie J. Smith, 19, Carthage, had a tire blow out, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a guard rail, returned to the roadway and overturned.
Smith, who suffered moderate injuries, and a passenger, Mack J. Smith, 5, who suffered minor injuries, were treated at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
