Convention and Visitors Bureau to market Joplin holiday events

(From the Joplin Convention and Visitors Bureau)

Each holiday season for the past nine years the Joplin Convention & Visitors Bureau (JCVB) has complied a marketing effort around holiday themed events. Known as Joplin Holiday Experience, the campaign promotes local events, open to the public which occur between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve.

According to Patrick Tuttle, Director of the Joplin Convention & Visitors Bureau, “We know the City Hall Holiday Windows unveiling and the Spiva Park Tree Lighting will happen on Monday, November 28th, and the Joplin Christmas Parade will be held on Tuesday, December 6th, but what about the holiday cooking classes, caroling opportunities or choral performances? What about craft shows, holiday puppies and fun things for the kids?” Tuttle says, “Now is the time for organizations to get their information to us so we can promote a wide array of meaningful activities this coming holiday season.”

For your business or organization’s event to be included in this year’s Holiday Experience promotion, the event details listed below must be submitted via the JCVB event calendar no later than noon, Tuesday, October 25th. Click on the link at the end of this article to submit your event. Do it now, even if you are only in the planning stages. Tentative information gets your date on the calendar and out to the public. (You can always update the information as it is finalized.)
