Three Granby residents injured in four-vehicle accident

Three Grnnby residents were injured in a four-vehicle accident 6:04 p.m. Thursday on U. S. 60, one mile east of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1998 International driven by Richard M. Sipes, 43, Doniphan, was towing a mobile home westbound on U. S. 60 and was parked improperly on the roadway.

A 2012 Dodge Ram driven by James F. Thompson, 41, Williamsville, was stopped on the shoulder behind the Arehart vehicle. A 2008 Honda Accord driven by Diana A. Allthin, 53, Granby, slowed down and was struck in the rear by a 2004 Chevrolet Z71 driven by Jonathan P. Arehart, 34, Granby, which also struck the Thompson vehicle and continued into the mobile home.

Arehart and a passenger in the Allthin vehicle, Earlene A. Carnation, 80, Granby, were treated for serious injuries and Allthin for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
