(From the Sarcoxie Police Department)Good cold Monday morning everyone! We think we can say that winter is here.
With the holiday hiatus let's get back to...
Keepin' Up with the Wee Woos
1. New Years came and went while you were sitting in jail for DWI.
Taylor Maddox of Kansas City, MO, was arrested for DWI - Alcohol on 12/31/21 after being stopped by Officer Rice for a speeding and C&I observation. After refusing Standard Field Sobriety Tests and a Preliminary Breath Test, Maddox consented to a breathalyzer at the jail that indicated his BAC was at 0.194.
2. You were simply going to be stopped for a no-tag light, even then it was still undetermined you were going to get stopped but you decided to spin out in the liquor store parking lot and were finally stopped outside of town.
Chief Corum walked up to your vehicle and immediately smelled the odor of intoxicants. Justice Weber of Kansas City, MO was arrested after Standard Field Sobriety Tests determined he was under the influence of alcohol. A Preliminary Breath Test of 0.104 was taken on the scene.
3. We understand that our citations that were sent to you upset you. That does not give you the right to continuously call the convenience store and harass the employees. Just stop, go take a nappy nap and sleep it off. Your new harassment citation should be in your mailbox soon.\
4. We don't like messing with weed, it stinks, it makes our cars and evidence room stink BUT you lie to us about it being in the vehicle when we can clearly smell it, you got what was coming to you. If we smell alcohol or weed, just be honest, it goes a lot easier for everyone.
5. You cannot throw a dog over a fence; you cannot keep talking to people after they tell you to stop. We call that trespassing and harassment. Since the dog was ok, you didn't get an animal cruelty charge. Leave people alone, move on, and don't throw your ex's little Dash Hound over a fence!
6. Weekly Numbers:
Accident: 1
Burglary in Progress: 1
Community/School Checks: 24
Disturbance: 2
Fireworks Complaint: 1
Fraud: 1
Harassment: 3
Medical: 4
Suspicious Person: 1
Traffic Stops: 24 (10 stops = 12 citations, 14 stops = warnings)
Total Calls: 103
This unprofessional way of reporting traffic stops will soon come to a grinding halt, once the lawsuits begin. But hey, Chief Butchie thinks she's funny.
