A Stella woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision 3:10 p.m. Monday on U. S. 60, three miles south of Ritchey.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Toyota Avalon driven by Bettie L. Rowe, 88, Stella, was northbound on Route M and pulled onto U. S. 60 in the path of a 1998 Peterbilt driven by Roger L. Ozbun, 66, Purdy.
Rowe was pronounced dead at the scene by Newton County Coroner Dale Owens.
The fatality was the sixth this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
