(From the Joplin Police Department)2022 year in review for the Joplin Fire Department:
- 8663 total responses
- averaged 24 responses per 24-hour shift
- 131 structure fires (14% increase from 2021)
- 96 structure fire responses within the city limits
- 35 mutual/auto aid structure fire responses
- Average response time of the first arriving unit to a structure fire inside the city limits was 4 min and 26 seconds.
- 65% of our responses were EMS related
- Station #1 (downtown district) was the busiest district with 30% of all call volume
We appreciate the hard work of our staff as they continue to serve the citizens of Joplin.
