Miami Police: No bodies found near Otter Shop, but man needing medical attention dies at Freeman

Over the past few days, there have been stories circulating through social media that there was a body found near Otter Stop. This is false information.

On Jan. 4 The Miami Police department and EMS were dispatched to a residence on A Street Southeast for a male needing medical attention. 

The officers located an injured adult male who was transported by ambulance to Freeman Hospital in Joplin where he later died of injuries sustained. MPD Detectives followed up with medical professionals, and no foul play was suspected.
