(From the City of Neosho)Detective Dan Cook was recognized on his retirement by the Mayor and City Council Tuesday night for his sixteen years of service to Neosho.
Dan has served as a patrol officer, patrol sergeant and detective corporal during his time at the Police Department and received several awards including the Medal of Honor, Meritorious Service Award, the Purple Heart, Community Service Award and the Chief’s Achievement Award.
Dan is also the organizing founder of Neosho’s Shop with a Hero program which, this year, will serve over 104 area children to make their Christmas a little merrier. He has been involved in the community in many ways, but the mayor’s proclamation states it best.
